The Story about Huginn Aviation
Huginn Aviation draws its name and inspiration from Norse mythology. The owners of Huginn Aviation are all from, and live in the area around Odense, the third largest city in Denmark.
The city is named after one of the gods from the Norse Mythology, Odin. The city name Odense stems from Odinsø, in Danish meaning Odin’s Lake where the god Odin lived, according to the legend.
The God Odin had 2 ravens Huginn and Muninn. The ravens flew each day all over the world to collect information, insight and knowledge about the state of the world and brought this back to Odin.
Huginn represents “thought” or “spirit” and Muninn represents “memory”. Often Huginn is associated with the future and exploration whereas Muninn is associated with respectfully remembering the past.
It is vital to keep the balance between the future and the past, which is why both ravens are with us in our minds, even though the company is named after Huginn.
At Huginn Aviation we are future minded, treasuring all the initiatives of exploration that will pioneer the future of aviation whilst respectfully appreciating that today’s aviation is standing on the shoulders of others.
